The DEADLINE for the award opportunity listed below has been UP-DATED:

January 25, 2013 (Due Date)  Monetary support for researchers through the Thematic Network in Spatial Cognition (TNSC) [a NSF-supported Science Across Virtual Institutes (SAVI) ]:

SILC has recently been awarded a SAVI supplement to support a Thematic Network in Spatial Cognition (TNSC). As part of the 3-year grant, we can support 5 researchers each year to engage in a lab-based exchange at $4000 per individual to cover travel, lodging and food. Researchers can be graduate students, postdoctoral fellows or tenure-track faculty, although preference will be given to junior researchers.

Support for expenses at the host lab, such as office space and internet access, would be provided by the hosting institution, and a letter indicating agreement of the host needs to be part of the application. The host institution might be either American (in which case the visitor should be non-American) or international (in which case the visitor should be American).

To apply, please send a two-page letter to Nora Newcombe newcombe [at] temple [dot] edu indicating the rationale, plan and timeline for the visit, including pre-visit preparation and post-visit follow-up and possible products. Also include your CV, the CV for the PI of the proposed hosting lab, and a short letter of agreement from that PI. Up-dated Deadline is January 25, 2013 for visits to occur in calendar year 2013.
